Captures moments between everyday life and archetypal qualities, showing that life is a myth, and myth is life.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Light is born from absolute darkness. And this is not a struggle, it is coexistence. A person is a manifestation of light. This is especially noticeable in photography. I take photos in such a way that it is clear that a person does not reflect light, but is its bearer. I don’t like to set up studio lighting and draw light schemes; I like to photograph life as it is. The world is a myth, and myth is the world itself. I believe that with the help of a camera, you can capture the moment when a person’s multifaceted nature is revealed, the moment when they haven’t yet decided on their mask and, in a split second, try on different masks. I call this hauntology — the space between.
