Buyer Terms
These terms explain guest checkout, delivery confirmation and issue handling when an artist sends a buyer a SOOMI artwork page.
1. Buying without an account
A buyer may use guest checkout without a SOOMI account. You must provide accurate contact and delivery information and be authorised to use the payment method. The checkout and confirmation identify the artist seller, the work, total price, delivery arrangements and SOOMI’s role.
2. No marketplace recommendation
SOOMI does not select the work for you, promise its value, provide investment advice or guarantee resale. A SOOMI+ badge indicates membership and the red SOOMI Ambassador badge records a referral milestone. Neither authenticates an artwork or guarantees fulfilment. A room preview is an approximate visual guide and is not a guarantee of colour, scale, frame or appearance.
3. Payment methods
Stripe processes payment. Klarna or another pay-later method may appear only where supported and approved; any credit is provided under the payment provider’s separate terms and eligibility decision. SOOMI does not guarantee that a particular method will be available.
4. Delivery and issues
Inspect the package and work promptly. Use the secure link to confirm safe receipt or report non-delivery, damage, suspected inauthenticity or a material difference. Do not confirm delivery before receiving and inspecting the work. Carrier data, collection codes and administrator evidence review may also be used to verify delivery.
An issue, refund request, payment dispute or chargeback may cause Stripe to reserve, debit or restrict funds while evidence is reviewed. SOOMI does not hold or release artist payouts. Please contact support promptly so the artist and SOOMI can investigate; this request does not restrict any statutory or payment-provider right.
5. Cancellation, returns and refunds
Your rights depend on applicable law and whether the artist is acting as a trader or private seller. Where UK distance-selling cancellation rights apply, the seller must provide the required information and cancellation route. Faulty, damaged or materially misdescribed goods remain subject to mandatory rights. A genuine commission made to your specification may be treated differently from an existing original work.
Follow the return instructions and use suitable tracked and insured transport. Refund timing and responsibility for return costs are explained for the specific order and cannot reduce mandatory consumer rights.
6. Contact and law
Contact hello@withsoomi.com with the order reference. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, while consumers retain mandatory protections and court rights available where they live.
