Dr Priyaprasath is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice focuses on the preservation and contemporary reinterpretation of South Indian temple sculpture and architectural heritage. Through charcoal, acrylic and mixed-media works, the artist studies intricate temple carvings, their symbolism, materiality and traces of time. Drawing from direct observation and documentation of historic temples, the practice explores how fragile cultural forms can be recorded, reinterpreted and brought into contemporary visual dialogue.
