Erica Baurecht is a contemporary textural artist based in Playa Hermosa, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Her work explores an intentional dialogue between raw natural elements and luminous materials, often combining volcanic sand collected from Playa Hermosa with acrylics, texture and gold leaf. Inspired by nature, human experience and the connection between the two, she creates tactile works that explore balance, transformation and inner connection. Her early artistic training included observational drawing, portraiture and still-life studies in pencil, as well as watercolor painting, under the priva
