ARTIST · LEIDEN

Maria Eleni Spyridaki was born in Crete, and moved to Northern Greece to study Fine Arts, specialising in painting. Following her studies, she moved to the Netherlands, seeking new experiences and greater engagement with the contemporary art scene. Alongside her artistic practice, she currently works in education. Her painting practice centres on landscapes she has encountered throughout her life and travels, capturing places through personal observation and memory. Working primarily with oil on canvas, she explores atmosphere, colour, light, and the quiet details of the natural environment.
