Olga Vlasova is a self-taught artist who first discovered her love of drawing in childhood. She returned to art later in life with a renewed passion for painting. Although she has no formal art education, she has been developing her artistic practice over the past several years.
Working primarily in acrylics within the aesthetic of contemporary impressionism, the artist places the human figure, especially the portrait, at the centre of her work. She is particularly drawn to the gaze’s capacity to convey what words often cannot: thoughts, emotions, inner tension and emotionational memory.
